Privacy Policy

Tirawa Studios respects the privacy of its users and has developed this Privacy Policy to demonstrate its commitment to protecting your privacy. It is required that we commit to inform parents and legal guardians about how we collect, use, and disclose personal information from children under 13 years of age; that we obtain the consent of parent(s) and guardians in order for children under 13 years of age to use certain features of our applications (“Apps”); and that we provide parents access to their child’s personal information to review and/or have the information deleted. Below we explain how we do this for children. Also, when we use the term “parent(s)” below, we mean to include legal guardians.

Our Apps provide two ways for children to access and use the products and services made available on, by or through our Apps, including all games and learning tools (“Services”). The first is when the parent(s) registers for the Services for use by their child(ren)’s information. The second is when a teacher registers for the Services for use by their students.

By using our Apps or Services, you are accepting the practices described in this Privacy Policy and you admit and acknowledge that (i) you are of legal age to form a binding contract (which is 18) and/or (ii) if you are under 18, you had acquired prior express consent from your parents. For any and all users who are over age of 13 who wishes to directly register to use our Apps or Services, all of the below terms and conditions shall be applied in the same manner.

If you have any questions about our privacy practices, please refer to the end of this Privacy Policy for information on how to contact us.

1. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?

In order for a child to use our Services, the parent(s) or teacher must register to use the Services. In the registration process, the parent(s) or teacher will be asked to provide information about him or herself, including the parent(s)’s or teacher’s name, email address, grade level(s) of the child(ren)/students, and the name of the institution (school or district) where the teacher works (if any). Children do not provide or disclose any personal information on our Apps. In certain cases, we also may collect a child’s e-mail address from a parent(s) or teacher for the purpose of sending the child e-mail related to his/her registration and for customer support. Providing a child’s email is optional. We may collect additional personal information from parent(s) and teachers in order to allow the child to participate in certain features located on our Apps.

2. HOW WE USE THE INFORMATION WE COLLECT?

Personal information regarding to a child may be collected and used to enable a child’s registration for the Services, to personalize communications to a child regarding a specific game, learning tool or newsletter. Their personal information may also be used for assessment purposes in the game or learning tool and will not be shared with any third parties except for the group or school under which they registered. For purposes of improving the users’ experience, some interactive activities may involve the disclosure of relating information to our partners and operators, who are directly providing relevant services in connection to the use of our Apps. In addition, for the purpose of security, we may share some relevant information with government authorities to the extent reasonable necessary to: protect the security of integrity of our Apps; to take precautions against liability; to respond to judicial process; or to the extent permitted under provisions of law, to provide information to law enforcement agencies or for an investigation related to public safety.

If you are a child who is using Services, you understand that your parent(s) and/or teacher can view all information and activity within or associated with your account, including, without limitation, all personal information, any messages between you and your teacher and grades and assessment you receive on projects.

3. HOW DO WE NOTIFY AND OBTAIN CONSENT FROM PARENT(S) FOR THE COLLECTION OF INFORMATION FROM THEIR CHILDREN?

We only collect personal information from a child where that child’s parent(s) or teacher has agreed to the terms of uses of Services. To use and access our Services, the parent(s) or teacher must first register to use the Services. Children are not allowed to self-register or initiate the registration process or to access the Services prior to the parent(s)’s registration of his/her account and consent to our Terms and Conditions Agreement.

4. HOW CAN PARENT(S) ACCESS, CHANGE, OR DELETE PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE INFORMATION ABOUT THEIR CHILDREN?

At any time, a parent(s) can refuse to permit us to collect further personal information from their child and can request that any personal information we have collected be deleted from our records. We use two methods to allow parent(s) to access, change, or delete the personally identifiable information that we have collected from their child. Depending upon what a parent(s) requests, it may be necessary to delete a child’s registration completely.

A parent(s) can access, change or delete personal information and can request that any personal information we have collected be deleted from our records.
A parent(s) can contact us by sending an e-mail to contact@tirawastudios.com to access, change, or delete the personal information we have collected from their child. We recommend that parent(s) should include the child’s member name and the parent(s)’s e-mail address in the requesting email so that we can better assist you with your inquiry or request.
